Tell Me Tuesday

Tell Me Tuesday with Canadian Mama
Hosted by Canadian Mama

First I read the Millennium Trilogy.  I loved these books and devoured them.

Then I suffered the depression that is unavoidable with the end of a good book and so I immediately started The Hunger Games

It took me all of two days to read the first book (nothing got done and I'm even totally guilty of letting the boys watch TV so I could read) - I'm 83% through the last book and I'm exhausted.  Seriously, emotionally wipped out.

Like Natasha said I need a good smutty read.  I'm looking for something light and hopefully super funny.  Nothing with death, rape, etc.

So, suggestions?

I have read niether of those books. 1) because I have no time to read, and 2.) because I was told they both involve a lot of violence and hateful things, and I get enough of that from other sources in my life.

Easy reads? Janet Evanovich is great and pretty funny - there's a little crime in it, but it's pretty light. My go-to trashy reads are the Rachael Morgan (also called The Hallows) books by Kim Harrison. They're paranormal, but they're light and fun, in my opinion.

And there's always Bunnicula.

A few good lighter reads:
The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Society by Annie Barrows
Bossypants by Tina Fey
The Happiness Project by Gretchen Rubin
A Dog's Purpose by Bruce W. Cameron
Undress Me in the Temple of Heaven by Susan Jane Gilman
Mennonite in a Little Black Dress by Rhoda Janzen

Okay, I got a little carried away!

I was going to suggest The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Society too. Oh, and I just finished Night Circus which was great too - different but really good!

I started and finished Hunger Games right before Blue was born and now I'm stuck in the middle of the second one. I've suddenly run out of time to read leisurely.
